Here is a photo of what the doors and drawers looked like before I painted them up:
Here is the after:
It has been almost a year since hurricane Ike, and I am happy to say I have one piece of his mess finished. My old China Cabinet took a good hit with the water as it was right underneath the bathroom upstairs. I wish I had a photo of the actual cabinet but but we moved all the furniture out and into our neighbors garages first thing.
Below you can see the wall and ceiling where my old China Cabinet stood. These photos were taken the day after the flooding to the house and those are not black marks on the walls....that is actually water droplets still falling from the ceiling!

The old cabinet could have been restored but when I found this cabinet at one of my favorite antique stores I fell in love right away. I was no longer sad to see the old cabinet go...but it did go to a good home. My neighbor down the street bought it from me at a bargain and her husband is going to restore it. (Now if I could just get the dinning table and chairs restored......)
Enjoy!!! ~Heather

Altered Greeting Cards

These cards started out as boring store bought cards with a french and grape theme to them. I sanded the backgrounds and then went to work collaging with my favorite mediums. The mother and child image is a new one of mine that I took on my trip to Dallas this summer. Enjoy!!! ~Heather

Little Fairy Boys ATC's

Some new ATC's for a swap, the theme was Children. I used the boy image from Collage Stuff and gave hims some wings with flecks of blue distressed stickles. I added ribbon then stiched over for an added effect. Enjoy!!! ~Heather
